| Links CodeProject is the best Windows programmer resource site. Not only is there a lot of source code and good articles, but if you ask intelligent questions, the forums are great. Interesting commentary on Family Tree Maker 2008/2009. This, and other sources, somewhat vindicate my protests about the path MyFamily.com was taking with Family Tree Maker when I was at the company. In the end, I concluded that .NET was a mistake and that the rewrite should have used MFC/C++ and CodeJock with a different database engine. This page also makes some interesting points about modality--something that far too many UI designers and developers fail to understand or at least respect. | |
