First English Hawaiian Vacation is an interactive multimedia English language primer for foreign language speakers.  ESL students aged 10 and older will benefit from the drama based material which stresses natural English like they would encounter in normal conversation.

Hawaiian Vacation consists of fifteen minutes of interactive video divided into ten lessons. In each lesson, the student can read the dialog, replay the video, hear the audio spoken slowly without background noise and view translations at three levels; line, phrasal and word. Each lesson also has a test and a game, and the student may consult a glossary at any time, or compare his pronunciation to the actor's.

Hawaiian Vacation was the first of a planned line of twelve titles that would have truly been of pedagogical value to the ESL learner. Future titles (three of which, Basics, Wild West and Secret Agent were in pre-production) would have had 30-40 minutes of video content. Once we had established the line, Hawaiian Vacation would have served as the teaser title; given away free with advertisements and previews of the other titles. Unfortunately, the bottom fell out of the interactive edutainment market just as we went to market in France and only a few hundred copies were sold. (We weren't alone; few, if any, interactive learning titles have sold well since.)
